Transitioning from Phase 1 to Phase 2

Our core purpose in this work is the question of how inner-led practices are mobilized by young people and resource-providers to nourish their inner worlds as they face escalating climate challenges. The Climate Youth Resilience team is drawing its Phase 1 work to a close and taking steps towards Phase 2. Thank you for connecting with us through our survey and conversations, and for helping us finalize our map and report of findings. We are thrilled that many of you are registered for the celebration of these elements of Phase 1, as we map the pathway to Phase 2.

The Climate Youth Resilience work, is mapping the uses (or not) of contemplative practices to address climate distress and support climate resilience amongst emerging adults (c. 16 – 30 years old). We will be working with youth organizations to create resources to support climate resiliency.

The global map features all the organisations that engaged in Phase 1. If you participated in CYR, you are featured on the map that accompanies the Phase 1 Report and Overview. Where organisations elected not to be named, we have left you off the map and are happy to add you at any time.

Mapped entities are divided into:

 Youth Organisations and Networks

 Global Youth Organisations

Hybrid Organisations that provide resilience services and work at the coalface of climate impacts

 Resilience Organisations

 Global Resilience Organisations

Each entry provides the organisation’s name, country location, website, and focus area, and indicates their use of inner-led practices, what types, and whether they are interested in co-creating resources to support climate resilience.

Global entities are pinned in countries in which they are registered, only because the map needs a location. This in no way detracts from their global work and presence.

A report, Weaving Communities of Inner-led Change, accompanies Phase 1 of this work. The report conveys what we heard and learnt from our respondents and – through young people’s voices – highlights key issues in developing resource services to support inner dimension work. We hope it will add value and insight to your work, and look forward to further collaborations in Phase 2.
