AGRIPATH – Empowering Smallholder Farmers Symposium

Resilient40 participated in the AGRIPATH Symposium, contributing African youth and smallholder farmer perspectives to global discussions on Digital Agricultural Services (DAS) and the future of climate-resilient food systems. The convening brought together stakeholders and innovators working across Uganda, Tanzania, Burkina Faso, Nepal and India to explore how digital technologies can strengthen agricultural productivity, resilience, and inclusion for smallholder farming communities.

During the symposium, Resilient40 highlighted the importance of ensuring that agricultural technologies are accessible, youth-inclusive, locally adaptable and responsive to the realities faced by rural farmers across Africa. Discussions focused on how digital tools including climate information services, mobile-based extension support, digital marketplaces and early warning systems can help improve food security, climate adaptation and sustainable livelihoods.

Resilient40 also emphasized the critical role of young farmers and youth-led innovation in shaping the future of agriculture on the continent. By bringing grassroots experiences and community-driven perspectives into the conversation, the organization advocated for equitable access to technology, capacity building and stronger investment in youth-centered agricultural solutions.

The AGRIPATH engagement further strengthened opportunities for South–South learning and collaboration between African and Asian partners working on sustainable agriculture and digital transformation. Resilient40 remains committed to advancing inclusive agricultural systems that empower smallholder farmers, strengthen climate resilience and promote sustainable development through innovation and youth leadership.
