
Hadiya Usman – Nigeria
Hadiya is passionate about creating a sustainable world by advocating and creating awareness on environmental issues and climate change led me to found the Gombe Youth for Global Goals in 2017: a youth-led organisation advocating for the SDGs. Through Gombe Youth for Goals, she lead #TsaftaceIskadaMuhalli, a campaign that aims at creating awareness about the dangers of carbon emission, environmental protection and sanitation. Together with young leaders in Gombe State of Nigeria, also organise a monthly hiking activity with the strong belief that hiking and walking trails promote active involvement in environmental sustainability.
Furthering her passion for improving life on land, raising awareness about environmental awareness and protecting habitat for native plants and animals; she is currently working with the Gombe State SDGs Project Support Unit as the Advocacy Officer. Hadiya is the World Merit Ambassador for SDG-15, a ONE Champion Alumni.

Priyanka Naik – Zimbabwe/UK
Resilient 40 member, currently studying her masters in humanitarian engineering at the University of Warwick. She has worked on various projects in Zimbabwe that have had to do with environmental education. She has worked with fellow resilient 40 members as well as the British office to build resilience in schools in rural areas. In addition to this Priyanka is the country ambassador for Climate Reality.’

Michael Kakande – Uganda
Michael Kakande, a passionate certified climate reality leader, The Founder and CEO of Two Hands One Life (THOL), a national nonprofit non-government organization accredited to UNCCD, working within underserved vulnerable migrant and fishing communities in Uganda. He is an ambassador under Theirworld, Y4CAP, One Young World and One Million Youth Action Challenge, mobilizing youth to lead on nature and climate. He is the regional coordinator (East Africa) for Open Dialogue on Climate Change.
